DISNEY CHANNEL:

This is Disney Channel in 2001. The entire website has a blue scheme to it. The url was disneychannel.com.
There was a games tab which appears in versions in the website. The only picture we see is of Lizzie McGuire. In the 2015 version, there is a slideshow of the TV shows they currently air.

The website source in 2001 shows a lot of var while the 2015 version does not and it shows a      lot of div to separate. In 2001, the code is much larger than it is in 2015.

MSN:

This is MSN in 1999. It has a very basic layout and has various ads decorating the site. There is a menu on the side with another menu bar on the top.  MSN in 2015 has made a very drastic change compared to a decade ago. There is still a menu bar on top but the side menu is gone. There are now picture slideshows to introduce different articles. MSN has creating Bing as a new search server.

MSN in 1999 used a lot of table. The script was larger in 1999.

TWITTER:

This is Twitter in 2006. It has a basic layout with a login thing on the right side. It has an example on the left side. Twitter in 2015 has a menu bar on the top along with people's posts underneath it.
Twitter in 2006 uses a lot of var. Var stands for variable name. There was less code in 2006 than there is now in 2015.

The purpose of the Wayback Machine and the Internet Archive in general is to see what the past looked like and to see what has changed. They are archiving the source of the website as well. Something interesting about the Internet archive is the calender of all the years.
